ERA Participates in World Renowned St. George Marathon
From 49 states and 10 foreign countries, 7000 runners participated in the 32nd annual St. George Marathon Saturday, October 3rd making it the largest race in the marathon’s history. Among nearly 500 local runners were ERA Brokers Consolidated agent, Liisa Frei, who ran with her 4 children, and Miriam Houston, the wife of ERA Brokers’ Principal Broker, Thayne Houston.
This was Liisa’s 13th year participating in the marathon. Frei, along with her oldest daughter, Cassidee Torres, finished with times that qualified them to run in the Boston Marathon in 2010. It’s an amazing accomplishment that they are truly proud of.
The Department of Leisure Services estimated that the marathon brought approximately 20,000 visitors to the St. George area. This is a great boost to the Washington County economy!
Southern Utah’s newspaper, The Spectrum reports: “Marathon visitors are expected to spend approximately $2.5 million locally…bringing additional revenue to hotels, restaurants and a variety of other local businesses.
